Our wounds run deeply in all of us. Admitting them, confronting them and embracing them are a MASSIVE part of anyone’s journey into personal growth and fulfilment.
We may so deeply long for lasting change in our lives, yet we are designed with these coping mechanisms whose sole purpose is to avoid more hurt, intensity and pain. These mechanisms are deeply unconscious programs and a lot of the time we have no idea we’re reorienting or moving away from the issue at hand or where we may have to look, pay attention or FEEL. It’s confronting AF to sit in your real truth at times. Even to accept the full truth of a situation, whether it be past or present, can be a very difficult thing to come to terms with. When things start to bubble up, most of the time we get active, as a distraction from what needs our awareness and attention in that exact moment. It’s very challenging to go THROUGH the pain, and not avoid, deny or reject it. Most of the time we just pretend it’s not there... So what do we do? Look at the most uncomfortable thing in your reality right now. Whether it be the most challenging relationship, situation or circumstance in your life and start there. If there is an upset, fall out, friction or something is rubbing you up the wrong way, THAT is exactly where life is asking you to look. 👀 When we look more deeply into these situations instead of skimming over them or moving away, we set ourselves up for fresh new insights and breakthroughs which will lead to more everlasting peace and InJoyment in our realities. THAT is the work 👊🏽 💜 👊🏽
